Anières Mechina (preparatory program)
Excellence Scholarship Program for New Immigrants in Engineering Studies
Since 2024, Alumot Or has been running a scholarship program for new immigrants (olim), providing full financial, academic, and social support throughout their journey toward a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in engineering at the Technion. The program is open to students pursuing Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Data and Information Engineering, Software Engineering, and Information Systems Engineering degrees.
Beyond academic achievement, the program aims to foster a strong, supportive community that helps students integrate into Israel’s high-tech sector, academia, and public leadership. It follows a unique three-phase track that includes Ulpan (Hebrew language studies), a preparatory course for the mechina, and the mechina itself, which also includes psychometric exam preparation. Participants receive a full living stipend throughout all stages of the program, including their undergraduate studies.
Beyond academic excellence, Anières's vision is to create a strong community to assist our students throughout their journey to the forefront of science and technology, the hi-tech industry, academia, and the public sector in Israel.
